No food taste like the classic filipino chicken barbeque by Aristocrat. Aristocrat restaurant have already been in business for a few decades now. They are famous for their chicken barbeque as well as other classic filipino cuisine. Specially for desserts like halo-halo and sago’t gulaman.
Before, Aristocrat has only one branch which is in Manila Roxas Blvd. But looks like business have been really good for them and branches started to mushroom around the metro manila area, specially in malls.
My wife and I are really fond of eating at aristocrat. Either for dine in,Take-out (to-go) or for delivery, aristocrat always satisfy our hunger. The only downside that I’ve observed is the waiting time to get the food served on your table. it will take around 15-30 minutes before you can start eating, maybe because they are slowly cooking it to satisfy the customers expectations? hehe, i don’t know, but the upside is that you’ll get to be seated right away.
The food at aristocrat ranges from around P58 to P400 serving mostly authentic filipino dishes. From soups, merienda, sandwiches, barbeque classics, traditional filipino ulam (filipino main courses) to desserts.
One dish we never missed out when we visit aristocrat is the chicken barbeque. There are two options you can choose for chicken barbeque, you can get it “boneless” or the classic 3 piece chicken barbeque in a stick. When you are in a hurry to eat your meal, I would suggest you to order the boneless chicken barbeque. Its a single chicken bbq piece (boneless) served with Java rice and atchara. The boneless chicken barbeque cost P149.00 per order.

boneless chicken barbecue
Alternatively, if you have all the time to enjoy your meal, I would suggest you to get the classic 3 piece chicken barbeque, also served with Java rice and atchara, at P195.00 the price is a bit higher than the boneless one but have more chicken pieces for you to enjoy.
For the taste of the Chicken Barbeque, I give it a 5/5 the chicken is very juicy specially when you eat it hot, with the famous peanut based java sauce, you can never stop dipping chicken pieces in it. For presentation, I give it a 3/5 well what do you expect? its a charcoal grilled chicken on a plain white plate! really its acceptable.

laing
Next in line is Laing. This dish cost P141.00. It is a vegetable dish cooked with coconut milk. My friend from the US likes this dish but personally im not a fan of it. For me the smell of coconut milk is too dominant. But for those who like spicy food, make sure you take in the chili you see on top of the dish.

lumpiang shanghai
One of my favorites is the lumpiang shanghai. Price is P248.00 get around 8 pieces of this midsize lumpiang shanghai. It comes with a lumpiang shanghai sauce, but I prefer to use the Java sauce for this dish. Every bite of this is very enjoyable.
For Soup, I would recommend Asparagus soup. This is my son’s favorite in aristocrat. At the price of P58.00 the soup is very creamy with bits of asparagus in it. A child who hates vegetables will hardly tell its a vegetable soup.
I also recommend their sizzling dishes P155-P280 as well as clubhouse sandwich P212.00.
For dessert try their Gulaman Sago P55.00, try to ask for more crushed ice to keep it cold and to reduce the sweetness. Also try their halo-halo P75-P100 it will surely complete your meal and keep your temperature cool.
Overall I give the restaurant ambiance 4/5 (SM San Lazaro Branch) serving size 4/5 service 4/5 and the food 5/5.
Surely, I will keep visiting aristocrat once in a while.

SuperBowl of China
Chinese food anyone? I myself is a fan of chinese food. I never get tired of eating chinese food.
I’ve been to Superbowl of china a couple of times already. For around 3 to 4 times i’ve visited superbowl, I usually start by waiting in queue to get a table, due to the number of guest they have that time. But you won’t go hungry while waiting since they will offer you prawn crackers in wooden bowls, which is refillable by the way.
I like the western atmosphere of the restaurant. You won’t feel that you are in a typical chinese restaurant at Superbowl. It is very well lighted and the height of the table is just right.

The price of the food at SuperBowl ranges from as low as P60 for dessert to around P390 for the main dish. They serve 100% authentic chinese food. From soups, congee, dimsum, noodle dishes, main dishes, roasting to fried rice, rice toppings combo meals to chinese desserts.

roasting combi platter
This is how the roasting combi platter looks like. The BBQ pork asado, century egg and jellyfish is my favorite in this dish. In chinese this is called “ding pua” or cold cuts. Price is a bit high at P390 but still cheaper than the typical chinese resto.
Here are some tips on what to order if you visit superbowl of china. For rice, I would recommend Yang Chow Fried Rice. The rice itself is like a viand on its own, it has chopped vegetables and asado roasting in it and is enough for 2-3 people. Only at the price of P195.
While for Main dish, i would recommend Crispy Mandarin Chicken.

Crispy Mandarin Chicken
At P275 the skin of the chicken is really very crispy indeed. Some of the recommended dishes are Lemon Chicken - P250, Lechon Macau, Honey- Glazed Pork Ribs - P285, Beef Broccolli - P295, Fish Fillet in Tausi Sauce - P260, and my all time favorite Mapo Tofu - P190 which is served a little spicy.

Lechon Macau
As for dessert, you should try Mango Sago - P80 and peanut butchi - P60.
Overall I give the food 4/5 and 4/5 for the ambience and cleanliness. For the speed of the service, i’ll give it another 4/5.
